Funny you should say that. I have two pairs of sneakers, new in the box, that I bought b/c I got great deals on them even though I didn't "need" them at the time. One pair is over a year old, another about a year. If I was one of the "So Fresh and So Clean" crew, I'd worry about rocking dated kicks, but since one pair is going to be for running (paid $70 instead of $140), and one is a timeless Adidas shelltoe that I got online for $30, I think I'm alright. But I have the feeling that those going the layaway route are a little more into their kicks than I am.

Plus, by the time you pay them off they'll probably be played out and you'll want the newest hot sneaker anyway.
