One of the things I love about Travis Ruse's photography is how adept he is at capturing candid moments in difficult situations. Usually, he's snapping shots on jam-packed subway cars, here, however, he captures this nice family scene on an empty train yet the family doesn't seem to notice that's he's pulled out a camera.

He does take some amazing photos and I thank you Big D for bringing him to my attention. His work inspires me to dust off my camera (or buy a better digital) until I remember how difficult it was to get pictures of people. Maybe I just didn't have the knack for picking the right subjects or sneaking the photo, but there were a few times where I thought my camera was about five seconds from being smashed to the ground or over my head.
