Don't Lend Them Money Either

Hispanic thug #1: You have to hit a kid to teach him respect.
Hispanic thug #2: That doesn't work
Hispanic thug #1: Sure it does, remember when I stole that stuff when I was younger and dad hit me? That taught me the respect that I needed not to steal
Hispanic thug #2: You still steal.
Hispanic thug #1: Yeah, but not from my family.

Reminds me of the following nugget of genius that I heard in a local supermarket, which, as a parent and human being, made me cringe:

Teenage boy: These kids nowadays have no respect because they're parents don't hit them.

Teenage girl: Yeah, all these parents want to do that white thing, you know timouts and stuff.

Teenage boy: I know. A kid has some bruises and the police want to take him away from the parents.

Teenage girl: Yeah. Look, my mom has been beaten all her life and she turned out fine.

This reminds me of a great line from Katt Williams comedy special "The Pimp Chronicles."

Speaking about mothers who hit their kids in public Williams said:

Your baby is 3, she's supposed to want Skittles you ignorant ...

Yeah that Kat WIlliams show is hilarious. I love that response about the Skittles. I have seen way too many thug parents just bitching/beating their kids in public. what a shame.

but time outs are bullshit. no need to be out right violent but a slap on the ass is good enough to get the kid to fear disobedience.
