Priorities

"Any online gamblers here? Well, Congress is looking in shutting that down. There's going to be a massive congressional investigation of online gambling and they're going to shut it down. And when they get done with that, they're going to look into this North Korean thing."

God bless you David Letterman. Online gambling is a big sponsor of Boxing and F*** the government if they can't deal with North Korea. It's so funny, Iran and NK are just thumbing their noses at the US since we've been bogged down in Iraq.

1--I believe NK is testing missles to get the US to pay them to stop testing missles. NK does not really want to fight. they just want the economic incentives we are offering Iran (cash, nuclear plants and fuel). solution: let NK keep throwning missles into the ocean (after all didn't our military and president say we tracked them carefully and could have shot them down if we wanted??)

2--Iran--I am conflicted by the need to stop a country from developing non-military nuclear energy capabilities just cause we fear they will build military weapons after that. some folks say it would take decades for Iran to build one war head...others say 5 years. but if countries have tried the honey approach (offering plants and money) with iran perhaps the vinegar approach will work (sanctions). I doubt sanctions will lead to Iran declaring war. perhaps it will re-examine the current sweet offers that have been proposed.

3--Israel/Palestine/Lebannon/Syria--the UN has tried to condemmn Israel's actions but the US has vetoed. this makes us even more unreasonable and more of a target to islamic fanatics and even moderates. how can we not ask for peace from israel? it is one thing to chase terroist within your on borders but to disregard civilians from a foreign country and that countries own sovereignty is just crazy. i dont understand the US approach. is every other country in the UN anti-semitic or is the US just a puppet? I hope there is peace but the middle east is starting to look like one big mess about to get really fucking ugly.

The Isreal/Palestine/Syria/Lebanon/Iran shit is ... history repeating itself? Wake me when the next round of Camp David meetings start. As for N. Korea, who gave them nuclear tech to begin with? Why do I get the feeling that the missiles they'be been launching are nothing more than ginormous fireworks. Too bad the N. Korean people have had to suffer under such insane leaders for so long.
