Morning Subway Demographics

Some guy's look at morning subway demographics:
3:00-4:00 AM
Drunks of all sorts, club kids, and winos. Late night workers,
busboys, getting off their shifts. Only a handful of people per car. 6:1
male/female ratio.

pretty interesting. sounds about right.

In Chicago the CTA has banned sleeping on the subway. i can understand a prohibition against laying out and falling asleep but if you fall asleep sitting up that should not get you a ticket. people are just tired sometimes. back in the day I loved my afternoon nap on the F train from 188th street to 74th, or from Main Street flushing to 52nd. nowadays, my ride is less than 13 minutes so I barely get to hear 2-3 of my Electronic Dance Music songs. also the CTA prohibits eating and drinking. at first I said that was stupid but often times I am so disguested by the person who sits down to have a full big mac meal or the person who is eating something greasy. one time i saw this dude who was eating wings and at every train stop he would chuck the bones out the door. nasty. with all the nasty shit germs, pee, vomit on the trains--that would be the last place i would eat. don't get me wrong it wasn't someone who was really really pressed for time. anyway, i suppose it could be worse, they could be drinking booze and starting fights....

maybe Fox news should do a special on How Sleeping On Subway Trains Is Destroying the Economy and Causing a Major Safety Threat....fuckers.
