Gas is 'spensive

Any drivers in these parts? Fears of war with Iran and trouble in Nigeria the new culprits. As if there needed to be a reason.

Weekly numbers of US oil stocks have consistently shown a relative surplus of oil in american reserves ready for distribution. my conspiracy radar is going bezerk....first techs, then housing and now comodities...i think the hedge fund boys are at work irrationally bidding up another sector for their profit.

Though I worry for those who absolutely need their cars for work and emergencies, I say rising gas prices is a good thing. SUV's and Hemi's are subsidized by our low gas prices. Let gas in the US cost what the rest of the world pays and I think you'd see a lot of folks make different car buying decisions and begin this nation on road to reduced oil dependence and reduced environmental impact.

don't forget the gas/oil increase screws over modest income home owners who use oil to heat their places....
