Sure hope these guys don't sign up to tour the states, they'd be in for tough lesson on what gets lost in translation. Meet the Gosperats, a Japanese RnB act that performs in blackface.

Clearly a slow day at the job for shot block......through the power of negative American movies and images, Black Americans have to be the most caricatured people on the planet. From last years comments by Vicente Fox, European soccer fans making monkey noises when Black footballers have the ball, to intensely insular cultures like Japan, these guys operate in a vacuum where this kind of "good, clean, fun" goes largely unanswered by any local population. I think they need El Jesus Negro in their lives: "Lord forgive them, for the know not what they do". It reminds me of the 14 year old white girl in high school who introudced herself to me by trying to slap me five and saying, "Yo, what's up homie!"
